A Faucet Aerator and Its Components

A faucet aerator with a housing comprises three main parts: the housing itself, an insert, and a washer. FlowSmart™ provides inserts that are compatible with both metric 22 and 24 sizes.

The housings come with either a female or male thread for attaching to the faucet spout, and they are available in both metric M24 and F22 thread sizes.
